Why New Year’s Resolutions are stupid

This being the last day of 2013, practically everyone on Facebook and the world at large is saying something about how they’ll change X, Y and Z in 2014.

Stop.

If you wait until a certain day, nothing will legitimately change. Go ahead and start today, not tomorrow. You’re not promised tomorrow, so don’t keel over tonight not having made the changes you should have made now.

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” – Ephesians 5:15-17

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” – Proverbs 27:1

You’re welcome.
